ANTM CYCLE 11 FACE OFF

So my horse finally won! McKee was the girl I picked out from the beginning. Physically she is hands down the most model-esque they have found in all 11 cycles. But with mall girls you never know, I guessed she could be one of those self destructive types. (Like what was up with that jittery and insecure French girl, whatever her name was?) So I watched, expecting some kind of melt-down out of McKee to take her out. But she had just the right amount of self composure. I think this girl is the one winner to actually have a real career in modeling. I'm calling it now. In fact I told Jenny L before the finale I was so sure McKee would win that if there were a Face Off with all of the previous winners from all 10 cycles then McKee would take it without breaking a sweat.

I am also liking the new production team. It's a much better show. Just the right amount of Tyra being bi-polar, girls doing challenges, and humiliation at panel. The pain factor of previous panels, "OK lets look at your photo, now be a monkey. Now you're a sexy monkey," was off the charts cheezy. I swore off this show last season. Said Kaddish. But now that it's less painful, and has an actual winner (not just a positive message girl like, fat girls can be ANTM, and so can black/underpriveleged!) and with actual modeling career potential, I'm back on board.

Here are my thoughts:

We loved that at the beginning of the competition McKey had the same name as someone else in the competition and Tyra asked her to change it. So she did. Whatever Tyra wants.

I agree with you about the production. Remember when they had to walk in giant shoes? But here are two things you must have forgotten: Tyra bitting a poison apple from Wicked Queen Ms. J and being rescued by Queer-as-a-Nickle-in-a-Chicken-Coop Prince Mr. J. And the "Political Issues" photo shoot. "You are the budget deficit! Now work it!"

I HATE Whitney from last season. Those My Life as a Cover Girl adds where she is riding the bike in a big hat make me want to take my own life.

Thanks for the wrap up. I love this sight.

. . . AND as if the Wicked Queen didn't push us over the top. . . FROM the futuristic/robot beginning--let us not forget that! Where the Jay's beamed in. I kept yelling "Hold me, Hailey! I don't understand. . what is. . . going . . . on?!" but I knew Topher would love it. And he did.

Whitney's My Life As a Covergirl were all toooo much. We loved when she was walking down the street and the twins were walking two steps behind. Yowzahs!

Heaven help Tyra-bot.

I'm with you, Amelia. I really like McKey, mostly because of her awkwardness (punching pillows?)But she takes an awesome picture and she actually looks like a fashion model. What was her real name? I totally forgot! Sorry Chris, but Analeigh is NOT high fashion, She will have a great career on "90210."

I feel like they can finally pick a real model because they have covered all the PC categories: black woman, big girl, Latina, etc.

Also, PLEASE go back in time and make Whitney's hair dark again!

I hate the makeover they did on Mckey. He skin is too pretty to cover it up.

P.S. do we remember little Black Riding Hood?? I sure do.

My other favorite, Elena and Marjorie lamenting over the fact that people don't understand them because they're European...uhhh.....yeah

Because Europeans who speak fluent English and moved to the US at four years old have such a HARD TIME.

"I'm a bitch because I'm Eastern European!"

"I'm all insecure and awkward because I'm French! We are totally known for not being graceful and charming! Don't you know that?"

"They're called croissants. You see in Europe we ... ahhhh forget it. You wouldn't know what it's like."
